Abstract Submission

The organizing committee of the 56th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japan Atherosclerosis Society encourages the submission of abstracts widely from abroad.
All abstracts submitted are peer-reviewed and selected for presentation by the organizing committee.

Abstract Submission Period

Monday, January 15, 2024 〜
Thursday, February 29, 2024
Friday, March 15,2024

Abstract submission has been closed. Thank you for your application.
Please note that corrections and registrations made after the abstract submission deadline will not be reflected.

  • Submissions, modifications, or deletions of abstracts will not be accepted after the deadline.
Traffic to the submission system is expected to be heavy close to the deadline, which may cause a delay in processing the submission of your abstract. We recommend submitting your abstracts as early as possible.
  • You are able to modify your abstract contents submitted online until the deadline. Please note that you may not be able to make modifications just before the deadline due to heavy traffic.
  • Changes, such as to the names of co-authors, after the deadline will not be accepted.
Please complete those corrections during the abstract submission period.

Grant for Participants from Overseas

The grant applicants must be those who belong to overseas institutions and are under the age of 43 (Age 43 not included) at the time of presentation (July 6-7, 2024).
The applicants from overseas affiliations will be evaluated from the abstract and up to ten (10) most outstanding researchers on atherosclerosis will receive a grant of JPY 100,000.
To apply for a grant, you will need to provide your abstract registration number and proof of age (e.g. passport, driver’s license, ID card).

Disclosure of Conflict of Interest (COI)

The disclosure statement of conflict of interest (COI) must be submitted along with the abstract.
It is the author’s responsibility to report any real or perceived conflict of interest. Any potential financial gain that may be derived from the reported work may constitute a potential conflict of interest. Disclosure is required in any case in which an individual or company stands to benefit financially from the research performed. Therefore, the onus is on each author to disclose any financial benefit received from an individual or company.

Password Set-up, Submission, Confirmation and Modifications of Submitted Abstracts
  • When submitting an abstract for the first time, registrants will need to decide on an optional password.
  • After the submission of your abstract is complete, a registration number (10000 series) will be issued automatically. The submission process for the abstract is complete when this registration number is issued (a message confirming registration will be sent.). If the registration number does not appear on the screen, the submission has not been received.
  • Use the confirmation/modification button to make corrections to submitted abstracts. You can modify and check the abstract as many times as you want by entering the registration number and your password until the submission period deadline. You may also delete your submission. Note that if you click the new “Submit (登録)” button each time you modify the contents, there will be duplicate submissions of the same abstract.
  • Registrants must keep a record of the registration number and password issued to them. We will not respond to inquiries about registration numbers or passwords to prevent browsing and misuse by third parties.
Registrants Using WEB mail (Gmail, Yahoo! mail, others)

There have been many cases where emails from the organizer or the Secretariat of this Meeting have been sent to ‘Junk’ folders. If you believe that you have not received a message from us, check the Junk folder first. If you have a ‘Spam Mail Folder’ in your WEB mail account, in addition to your mail software’s Junk mail folder, check that as well.

Notes on Entering Information

  • Left justify information entered in the column. Do the same in the abstract text column.

  • The submitted contents will be posted in programs and abstract collections. In principle, the information will be used as is, without changes to the submitted data. Abstracts will be posted as received, even if there are misspellings. Please check your paper before submission.
